The Pilot was some sort of space smuggler who was found holding cargo owned by the Imperial Hegemony of Man. Some rooms have streams of acid on the ground, indicated by their yellowish glow. These are NPCs that provide services to the player, change the game in some way, or are otherwise major or iconic characters.
